Episode Notes
Key Scripture:
Luke 16:10
Why many men feel frustrated with “ordinary” life
The lie that purpose only exists in big, visible moments
How comparison blinds us to the assignments God has already given us
Why faithfulness in small things matters deeply to God
How God develops men through hidden and unglamorous seasons
The connection between faithfulness, identity, and purpose
How do I find purpose when daily life feels ordinary?
What if my current season looks nothing like what I expected?
Am I wasting my life being faithful in small things?
Does God notice faithfulness in obscurity?
Am I trying to live someone else’s highlight reel?
Am I truly satisfied with where God has me right now?
Joseph — faithful in the pit and prison before the palace
Moses — developed in obscurity before leading Israel
David — shepherding long before becoming king
“Purpose isn’t found — it’s lived.”
“Faithfulness in obscurity is not preparation for the assignment. It is the assignment.”
“The size of the assignment doesn’t create character — it reveals it.”
“You don’t need a bigger platform to live with purpose.”
“Comparison steals contentment and distracts from faithfulness.”
1. Faithfulness Check
Identify one area of your life you’ve been treating as “small” and commit to being intentionally faithful there this week.
2. Reject Comparison
When comparison creeps in, stop and pray:
“Lord, help me be faithful where I am.”
3. Live Your Assignment
Ask God daily:
“What does faithfulness look like for me today?”
Then do that one thing with excellence.
Purpose isn’t waiting for you in some future season.
It’s already in front of you — in your home, your work, your relationships, and your daily obedience.
Be faithful where you are.
That’s where real purpose grows.
