Episode Overview
Many men start the year strong—but quietly carry emotional weight beneath the surface. Anger buried. Sadness ignored. Fear masked as toughness. In this episode of The Unshaken Power of 4 Podcast, we tackle the pressure men feel to hide their emotions in order to appear strong—and the shame that builds when we do.
Culture tells men to “man up,” grind through, and never show weakness. But suppression doesn’t create strength—it creates isolation. And isolation drains the soul.
Together, we unpack the cost of emotional suppression, the lies men believe about vulnerability, and the freedom Scripture offers. Looking at David’s raw honesty in the Psalms and God’s invitation to cast our cares on Him, we explore how true strength isn’t found in pretending—it’s found in bringing our full hearts before God.
Together, we explore the cultural lies that drive us toward burnout and self-reliance, and we turn to Scripture to remind ourselves where true provision and identity are found. Our goal is simple: to help us walk into this year unshaken, rooted in Christ, and strengthened through fellowship.
