Episode #14 - October 30, 2026
"Our presence matters more than our wealth" Many of us carry a quiet fear that we are not preparing the next generation well. We work, we provide, and we stay silent about the things that matter most.
Pastor Chris Goulard returns to the show after our earlier conversation on financial stewardship, and this time Mark Warren joins Mike and Steve. Together they explore what happens when wealth is passed down without character, and what it looks like for a father to raise sons who are responsible, not entitled.
Psalm 127 tells us that children are a heritage from the Lord, like arrows in the hands of a warrior. A father's teaching, example, and presence help aim those arrows well.
In this episode:
Why a father's presence is critical in teaching his son stewardship and character
How wealth passed down without character creates generational struggle
What the biblical role of a father looks like in preparing sons spiritually and financially
How men can move past "just providing" into honest conversations about money, faith, and influence
One practical step a father can take this week
Take a step this week:
Be honest with your sons. Start the conversations about money, work, and faith now. Don't wait until they're adults.
Model stewardship. Let them see you handle resources as a servant of God, not as an owner.
Build brotherhood around fatherhood. Invite other men into the journey so you're not carrying the weight of influence alone.

Scripture: Psalm 127:3-5
The weight of a father's influence is real, but it doesn't have to crush you. Your presence matters, and God's grace is sufficient to help you build character and leave a legacy that honors Him.
