The book "The Purpose-Driven Life" by Pastor Rick Warren has sold more copies in history than any other book except for the Bible. Why? Because we all desire to understand why we are here. Each of us wants to know how to make our lives count.
"When I became a Christian as a young man, for the first time in my life, I felt like I might have a purpose. Some would refer to it as a 'calling' on my life. I wanted to be a part of God's team, make an impact, and stand up for the weaker people around me. Then, I got busy with school, job, marriage, and family.
If I have a moment of peace and quiet, I still hear that voice in my heart saying, 'You have a voicemail from God.'
If I am honest with myself, I have unfinished spiritual business to address. I think the next step in my spiritual growth requires me to step up and figure out what God wants me to do with my life.
It is time for me to become intentional about living a purposeful life for my Lord."
If you have similar thoughts about your life, you would benefit from being in a Power of 4 group. That's exactly what other members have found by joining a P4 group.
The barriers often come from thinking you are too busy to take on another obligation. If you do, you would have to let something go. It's hard to set priorities when everything feels important.
Here's a question to ask yourself, "What investment of my time and energy will align my life values with the design God placed in me when He created me?" And a second question would be, "If I don't discover my life purpose, will those around me suffer from me not fulfilling the plans God made for me to accomplish?"
Find three other men to help you get started and maintain the adventure of living all out for Jesus. If you can only think of two other men, start meeting together and pray that the three of you will discover the fourth. Let us know if we can be of help.
